ONE TO ONE ENGLISH SURGERY
New opportunity for after October half term
****One-to-one English Surgery****
An opportunity to work with a published author on a range of Creative writing skills and receive support with IGCSE English.
Rachel has an MA in Creative Writing, and has published Picture Books and Short Stories as well as being shortlisted in a National competition with her YA novel. Her specialism is Creative Writing but she can help with narrative, descriptive and argumentative essays, comprehension, speeches, articles, letters, diary entries etc.
She has worked with many home-educated teenagers over the last two years and helped them to identify their strengths and also fill in any gaps in their approach to past papers. She is happy to work with younger children, from 10 years and upwards, to develop their Creative Writing, and will scribe for children who want to practice their story-telling skills/ imagination but aren’t yet writing.
Slots are available between 11.30- 2pm every Monday and between 10.30am – 12 on alternate Tuesdays (week 2).

cost: 1/2 hour tuition £7.50 and 1hour tuition £15
On the contact form, please state the name and age of your child and what they would like to work on. Once your request has been received a suitable time can be negotiated. It may be helpful to then send/give Rachel an example of your child’s work prior to meeting so that the most can be made of their time together.
*Please note that in the interests of fairness, and depending on availability, it may be necessary to limit the number of slots per person. In busy periods it may also be necessary to prioritise IGCSE students.
**Please note that sessions can only be booked on an occasional basis, (rather than regular or weekly,) depending on demand.
